Approaching October Numerology 2017 is more than looking at a beautiful array of colorful trees. During this 10th month of the year, I can only reflect on… wait a minute… let me take a breath. This year has been such a whirlwind of shock, of environmental devastation, of individuals who are acting out with violence and hatred. I observe people well, sort of “freaking out” and loosing control (myself included, at times). I sit here now at my computer with the visualization of holding my ears because everyone seems to be screaming at once.
Yes, the shadow is upon us this year, and it is clear that we cannot hide from looking at it, not only in our political, social environment, but in ourselves. We can take action, talk to someone else, give someone a hug and don’t leave yourself out!

Ok, back to October:) The number 10 is a powerful number as it is not only the 1 (leadership and new beginnings) but it has the “0” (zero) which is all about the path of potential and reaching into the unknown with curiosity, even intrigue. Take fear by the hand.

As we delight in the crispness of fall and the trees displaying their color and vibrance, the 10 can give us the energy to open to a new way of being. Move forth in life with a fresh direction and an understanding that our actions can make a difference in our lives and others. We may move into the “zero” place of the unknown with intrigue and adventure. What would you like to do? What can you do to create a unique you in some way?
For me, I can look at this earth and our country, in all of its shadow and brilliance. I can step forward and not back. While I take my path into the unknown and acknowledge my fears and reluctance to proceed further, I can remember that the road is full of potential and even joy. Let me be not afraid to be bold, to reach through a hurdle with love — to make a difference, to be creative, to paint, and to dance.
