As I write this post on a vibrant 8/8 day, I welcome you to August, (the eighth month of the year) and the abundant power of 8. The August 2014 photo (on the right) of clouds at Tod’s Point in Greenwich depicts the world in all its abundance.
Eight is probably the most controversial number that numerology, Feng Shui and other energy modalities discuss. In a word, 8 is the energy of power and leadership.
Chinese tradition and Feng Shui views 8 to be a lucky number. Others ostracize the eight and power as a negative drive towards materialism and a desire to control others.
The Power of 8
As a numerologist, I view the eight as the energy of power and empowerment. Like the infinity symbol, which has no beginning and no end, the eight is all about potential. We have the choice to acknowledge how powerful we can be, or to belittle ourselves – feeling that we will never succeed. The third choice, is to see others who are confident, successful, and wealthy with disdain. The energy of 8 is not good or bad, What we do with this power is what can be inspiring or hurtful.

The energy of August will help you be out there in the world and get projects accomplished. August exemplifies the powerful and charismatic Leo in Astrology. The power of 8 will give you more energy to connect with people and perhaps help you to step out of your comfort zone. What will you do in August to embrace your abundant life?
