Thanks for your interesting question, Colleen. I am really glad you asked. It clears up a very interesting phenomenon. When your personal year (the environment you are in this year) and the universal year (the overall theme of the year for everyone) is the same, you are in alignment with the world. And this same phenomenon will occur every year!
The universal 7 (2+0+1+4=7) is a year of inner reflection and spirituality. The seven year can be one of much soul searching and may not feel very grounding. The spiritual and inner workings of the subconscious and secrets may be uncovered this year for all of us. Ha! We have experienced this aspect early on this year in our political arena with Governor Christie.
The 7 personal year in a 7 universal year
So this year you are in a 7 personal year in a 7 universal year. The phenomenon creates a double whammy in your spiritual journey. Are you finding that this year is a quieter year and a time of reflection? Are you finding your own journey one of exploration of self and perhaps not feeling grounded? Feeling more like watching then participating?
It does not have to be that way, but you will need to work slower and follow your inner knowing before jumping into anything new. I have seen with my clients, even if they have a lot of projects they want to accomplish in their seven year, only those that meet their highest good will manifest.

Starting a business in a 7 personal year
I have seen many clients creating businesses and lives in their seven year. It is a year of reflection and following your inner guidance. As you described, your goal is one of creative inspiration so I would say you will be fine! Just to know that things might move slower and have some twists and turns. You might be forced to deal with the inner demons of the subconscious. It is all good for our growth:)
Does your month and day of birth add to 9?
If you are in the same personal year as universal year, I can 100% guarantee that your birth month and day adds up to a 9. When you add any number combination to the number 9, the 9 cancels itself out.
If, for example, your birthday was April 5, the sum would be 4+5=9. Then add the current year. (9+2+0+1+4 =16.) 1+6=7. You are in a 7 personal year, the same as universal year (2+0+1+4 =7). It works every time, adding 9 to any number calculation. Check it out yourself!

Hi I’ve been feeling a little uneasy but pushing thru it all. Trying to figure out my purpose although that’s been like solving a difficult puzzle.
Based on the 9 universal formula, I am currently in a double 7 year
Birthday: 7/2 (7+2=9) and 2023 is a 7 global year
Full birthday: 7 2 1995 which adds to a destiny of 33/6 (Editor’s note: we will not talk about the Master destiny number ’33’ here, but check out this post.
And I’m thankful I found this article that talked a bit about double years and I appreciate the insights because I couldn’t find anything remotely close to this so thank you.

What did you mean by that ? Spiritual initiation?? And if so could give some tips on how to activate that aspect of myself?
Hi Seann, I will need to break down my answer in a simplified form. The ‘seven’ global year holds the energy of a spiritual and non-conforming essence. Here is an opportunity to look within to find your answers. So in the question of who will be successful in a 7 year, it would be one who is aligned with an enlightened vision. It’s success would not be like promoting a new car, but more like a new medical instrument that relieves pain or a charity event. And the other piece in a 7 year is that success is not for making money or fame. Make sense? Tips, hmmm… connect within as far as what you are attracted to and why. ANd then let go and do not care about the result.. ha, not as easy!!

Looking back and realizing the ’14 personal and global year… it was the worst year of my life, beyond any doubt, and I am still feeling the ripple effects. I likely always will.
My whole world was utterly destroyed, with no exaggeration.
How does one work with having the same personal and universal years?
Ah, Diannah,when the year is the same as the global year.. it is a double whammy! The 14 year, which is a 5 is all about change.. lots of change and a lot of movement and energy.. it could have been a time where you could not keep up with all the things that were happening. The other piece of the 14/5 is that it is the karmic debt number. This is the energy of freedom. In a past life it might have to do with the work you came to do in this time.. What do you need to achieve to get freedom? What have you been putting up with? Perhaps the “horrible” year was about the lessons of what you no longer need in your life.. Does this ring true for your life? This year, the year of the 4.. is all about building.. you will learn the lessons but also the opportunity to build a new brilliant life for yourself in career/personal life, etc.. I hope this helps.
