Where is Gandhi When You Need Him?

Where is Gandhi When You Need Him?

August 31, 2019 by Greer Leave a Comment

What does September, Numbers, and Mohatma Gandhi Numerology have in common?

The number ‘9‘

Gandhi numerologyNine is an auspicious number about transformation and completion —reaching into the unknown with fascination and purpose.

“In a gentle way, you can shake the world”
– Mahatma Gandhi

September, the Number 9 and Gandhi Numerology

As we enter the 9th month of the year, let’s take a look at the divine number 9 according to numerology. It is the number of the spiritual warrior that goes beyond the knowledge of the way of the world. Its’ energy seeks the intuitive universal laws of why we are here and the lessons we have come here to learn.

The perfect illustration of the number 9 is Gandhi.  Born on October 2, 1869, Gandhi’s destiny is a nine. To find someone’s destiny or life purpose number, you add all the numbers of the birthday. Thus:

1+0+2+1+8+6+9 = 27. 2+7 = 9

In this post, we see how Gandhi numerology describes a spiritual warrior who saw the bigger picture of freedom for his country. He went beyond all earthly struggles to create an environment of freedom for his people.

Gandhi Numerology chart

Let’s take a look at Gandhi’s numerology chart below. It illustrates a man who truly made a difference in this world.

We are not going to go into all the aspects of Gandhi’s numerology chart in this post. Just the basics.

The Pythagoras chart below illustrates the number value of each letter in a person’s name. For example, you will see that the letters ‘AJS’ have the value of 1, while ‘BKT’ have the value of 2.

When you add the sum of all the letters in a person’s name, you discover what is called the expression number — how a person expresses themselves in life. Gandhi’s full name, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi has the expression number of 3 —creativity and self-expression. Gandhi shared his voice in a powerful yet soft way, allowing all to experience a peaceful approach to dealing with discord.

When you look at the name he was called by his followers, Mohatma Gandhi (which means ‘great soul’) —we see the expression number of a master 55.

When 2 numbers are the same, such as 11, 22, and 55, they are called master numbers because of the powerful effect it produces.  The potent value of 55 is that of the fire within that moves out with strength and charisma. 5+5 adds to 1 which defines leadership and inspiration.

So the 55/1 is like alchemy – releasing the energy of inertia and strife while inspiring action and a new beginning.

Gandhi Karmic Numbers

Lastly we look at the letters in Gandhi’s birth name. When someone is missing a number in their name, they are called karmic lessons.  As you can see from Gandhi’s chart below, he has no karmic numbers!

What does this mean? Having no karmic numbers is very rare. What it means is that his karmic number is zero. He came into this world to discover the lessons he wants to learn.

September and the Number 9

With the confusing and often crazy- making world we live in politically, environmentally and socially, perhaps it is time to be Gandhi, seeing the opportunity to make a change in the world.

Gandhi is truly a manifestation of patient perseverance while demanding transformation no matter how long it takes and whatever burdens we have.

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” —Mahatma Gandhi

September is here, the 9th month of the year.

The fresh air of September welcomes me from a very hot summer in New York. It is a time to get back to school, back from your summer getaway, or reach for a renewed beginning of some sort. The number 9 represents the bigger picture and making changes in our lives, especially when a habit or relationship no longer suits us.

Take this time to look at your life. Is there something you need to change? Are you making a difference? Do you feel the transformation in the air? Feel free to comment in this post.

Kiss your life. Accept It. Just as it is.
Today. Now.
So that those moments of happiness
You Are waiting for
Do not pass you by.
