Greer: I am so glad you are finding my site useful. It is truly a labor of love. I find your question fascinating. Yes you are correct. The site you found that calculated Apple as a 7 is calculating their numbers by the Chaldean method*. This method, (which precedes Pythagoras numerology) does not use the number “nine”. From what I have read, and in the simplest of explanations, the Chaldeans believe that 9 is a holy, sacred number therefore they do not use it when calculating the letter chart. (In this calculated method, “p” is an “8”. )
And to show the limitation of this method, can you deny that Apple is a successful company? Ha, really? Probably the most successful company in the world – ie macs/ipods/iTunes/iphones, etc etc etc. In Pythagorean terms, A(1)+P(7)+P(7)+L(3)+E(5) = 23 (2+3 = 5). Five is a number representing the gathering of people in a social way, connecting to fun, entertainment and communication – isn’t that what the i-phone and itunes all about?My personal viewpoint is, why would you leave out a sacred number when calculating your name? Pythagoreans believe that 9 is all about transformation, transition and the spiritual warrior. Why would you leave that out? Don’t we all go through meaningful transition phases in our lives? Hi Maria, I think this question requires further conversation. The 6 and 7 energies are very thoughtful. Six is the number of compassion, friendship, family, all matters of the heart. The seven is the spiritual number, looking within for your answers, the non- conformist. In Essence these numbers will attract customers who are more in the unique, spiritual and heart theme. To set up an energy of ‘promoting success in order to reinvest my money, I would look for a ‘1’ or an ‘8’. Although, if you come from a sensitive place in your marketing, like “Here is the ring for your soulmate”. you may do well, but it would be a matter of slowly growing your dedicated clients, than a quick turn to reinvest your money. It is kind of like a family business. (6 is all about family, trust, compassion) You might want to look further at other names that might also produce more income.. like with an 8 (abundance) or a 5 (travel). Hi Sam, the great news about llc is that it adds to a nine. 3+3+3=9. When you add a 9 to any number it cancels itself out. So if you add a 4 to 9 ,it would be a 13. 1Plus 3 equals 4. However when it comes to 11.. which name added to 11? Sorry to say, but apple number isn’t 5 but 7 because in your calculation has mistake, because P isn’t 7 but 8, correct is – A(1)+P(8)+P(8)+L(3)+E(5) = 23 (2+5 = 7) and 7 isn’t good for business!

I don’t want to ask you about a domain name in particular. I just wanted to know if you add the .com to your name when adding it up if your business is only online. Like google.com. I’ve heard conflicting things. Some numerologists say that you don’t add the dot com and some say you do. There are some businesses that are brick and mortar as well as online like APPLE, but then there are others like dating sites, or facebook that are only online.

Cause in a business name the focus on the expression and vibration of a name is the name you will be using all the time, on your website header, business cards and promotion, and communication. So when describing Facebook, would you say, I saw this on Facebook.com? I checked with Google.com, etc.? No you never say .com so to get the full expression number my belief is to leave out .com.

Hi Alete, When I help people in their business names I do not include “.com” in my analysis.
This is a standard suffix and when you tell people of your name and when you see it on your website, you do not use .com, right? You only see it in the address section.
For example.. do you see or say Microsoft.com or google.com? not really.. just in the address bar.

In answer to the difference in .com, this really depends on how you are going to use the name. If it is literally an online service that you want to emphasize the “.com”, I it can be significant. But truly most businesses are described without. For instance, if you were going to talk about Microsoft, would you ever say Microsoft.com? So as long as on your website, you have the name clearly emphasized on the top of your site, and on your business cards and promotions, then this vibration is the most important one.
I sometimes look at the .com numerically, but do not focus on it that much. Connecting your values and goals and the expression of the name is most important.
