July is a 7 month. So yeah, the heat is on outside. But the symbol of 7 in numerology is actually very cool. The energy of seven is the soft and sweet movement of spirituality. It is about tapping into your inner truth. Seeking knowledge from metaphysical pathways with yoga, meditation, astrology, crystals and reading Rumi is the journey. What will you do this month to step beyond the mundane world of Starbucks? Perhaps get a Reiki treatment or take a qi-gong class? (Read more about the power and symbol of 7)
Painting Your Chakras
As an artist and numerologist I tapped into the mystical and soul searching symbol of 7 during my workshop on Painting Your Chakras. Click here to find out more about the new class in July. Simply put, there are 7 major chakras or energy systems in our body, ranging from the 1st – root chakra, at the base of the spine (dealing with survival and grounding, the color is red) to the 7th – Crown chakra, top of the head (dealing with higher connection to the universe, the color is violet, purple).
To celebrate July, spirituality and stepping into the unknown with complete abandon, I share with you some of the brilliant paintings my students produced back in June of 2013. I invited each of them to let go of their judgments as they created. Using the colors of each chakra and music that induced the flow of each energy center, they painted with joy in their hearts and smiles on their faces.

Here is an invite to all of you to tap into your creative side this month and explore your inner passion. It is not about being an artist, it is about expression in every form. Take out crayons, colored pencils, magic markers or perhaps you could write a poem! No one has to see it. But you can put it on your refrigerator☺
Feel free to share your creations here. Namaste my friends.
(Namaste is a Sanskrit word meaning “I bow to the light within you.)
