Description
The Quan Yin print is from a painting which had many layers for me. I began with a statue of Quan Yin, goddess of compassion. She took on many forms as I painted her. At one time, it looked like a boy, and then, as I tried to create a more yin (feminine) look in her face, I discovered that she has an androgynous nature. The background came next as I transformed her into a world of mystery and sat her on a lotus, with her feet dipped into the magical waters of the spirit.
Yes Greer, I received the prints and cards, they’re even more beautiful in person. —Martha
